Bike trip in Quebec: Destination up North Montreal == September 23rd to 28th, 2018

This trip will allow you to be initiated to bike touring, travel by bike freely! You don't have a bike, no equipment? No problem! We have it all! At this time of year, the colors will be magnificient! 

This trip has a duration of 6 days, 5 nights on the road.

A portion of the cost will be given to the trips we do for the youth that don't have that chance. 

Departure/Arrival: Rawdon (1 hour North of Montreal). Transportation can be arrange from Montreal. 

Cost: 850$   Total distance: 300km

Day 1: 45km

Departure in the nice little town named Rawdon, up north of Montreal.  Lodging in beautiful and luxurious hut at Kabania. Relaxation, hammock, good food to finish the day!

Day 2: Notre-Dame de la Merci  to Val David(60 km)

The beautiful and wild landscape of Lanaudière and Laurentides will be seen all day. We will cross only few villages, but a lot of lakes and mountains. Nature and nice scenery guaranteed! Lodging at the hostel Baril Roulant, a microbrewing and hostel! It will feel almost like paradise after a long day on the bike! 

Day 3: Val David to Mont Tremblant (47 km plus extras)

The famous Petit Train du Nord  an old railway bike path will bring us directly to Mont-Tremblant. This will be a nice and quiet day in the heart of nature. We will be lodging in condos in the old village of Mont Tremblant. We will have time to wonder, relax, shop or even hike at the top of the mountain or bike if you still have energy!  

Day 4:  Tremblant rest day /visiting/ biking extra day or hiking! 

You can do all kind of activities at Tremblant! Name it, they have it! Or you could take your bike and go for a bike ride! The choices are unlimited! Ask your guide for the activites...or simple relax and enjoy the scenery ! This will be the day off of the trip, so take advantage of it as you wish! 

Day 5: Tremblant to St-Donat (70 km)

We will be biking on the well known route of the Tremblant Ironman, the "Nordet", which is a long and winding road with a lof of climb! It will be a good challenge for all! We will be back at St-Donat and sleep in the nice cottages nearby Ouareau lake. 

 

Day 6: Getting back to Rawdon via St-Côme (77km)

A nice day for a nice treat at the end!! It mostly goes down all day (ok, maybe there will be a few up hills) ! What a nice day to end the trip! 

Cost of the trip: 550$ per person + un minimum of 200$ pledge that will help to our mission. That price is for mainly 3-4 person per room, single beds or double beds. For a private room, you must add 400$ to the total cost of the bike trip (so easier if you bring a friend!!). After April 1st, the cost goes up to 650$. 

This trip includes: 

-A pre trip reunion

-5 nights in hostels/hut/condos

-All the bike touring equipment  (50$ extra for a bike)

-2 guides  to help you during the trip

-All the meals except one dinner in Val David and Tremblant

Registration starts on January 30th! Hurry up, limited to 8 participants!! Price will increase of 100$ on April 1st. 

Payment calendar: 

  • 100$ for initial registration online, that will securize your place on the trip. Follow this link.
  • 750$ (550$ for the bike trip fee and at least 200$ for donation to Ça roule pour moi) that must be paid by cheque or bank transfer (info@caroulepourmoi.org) before April 1st, 2018. For the cheque payment, please send it to Ça roule pour moi at 7232 Hippolyte-Bergeron, Montréal, Québec, H1N 3X5.
  • If you need a bike, 50$ of extra charge need to be added to your cheque. 
  • If you want private rooms, 400$ of extra charge need to be added to your cheque.
